Andersen Windows adding jobs, expanding manufacturing at 2 MN facilities

A longtime Minnesota company formally announced plans to add hundreds of jobs at two of its manufacturing facilities in the state.

Andersen Corp. will add more than 300 jobs at its operations in Cottage Grove and North Branch, as part of a $45 million expansion plan.

The Bayport-based company will spend $38 million in Cottage Grove, adding an additional 125,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space and increasing production capacity for its Renewal by Andersen line. The facility currently employs 450 and is expected to add more than 200 new jobs. Last month, the South Washington County Bulletin had the first report that the expansion was coming to the city’s business park.

“That one is going to be huge,” Cottage Grove Mayor Myron Bailey told the Pioneer Press.
